Floral Photography

As a photographer, Mike Finley says he finds flowers fascinating. This gallery contains a selection from his floral photography. Photographing the flowers in monochrome concentrates the mind on form rather than colour, and so emphasises the elegance of form.

Monochrome floral photography has a long tradition in fine art photography, emphasising the sensuous shape of many flowers, rather than the gaudy colours that otherwise predominate.

Mike also grows carnivorous plants, and for his fellow CP growers, this gallery includes a few photographs of Sarracenia and Nepenthes.
